Graduation!

We had several graduations this past month, but only attended one. My children are not known for sitting still and being quiet at crowded places so we opted to attend one and then throw a party for all three at one time.

My nephew, Nathan, graduated with his bachelor's in biomedical engineering. My niece, Elise, graduated with her bachelor's in psychology with an emphasis in physics. My brother graduated from law school with his doctorate in jurisprudence. We drove to Nashville to see him receive his hood and diploma.

He was number 4 in his class and in the top 10% so was accepted into their honor society called Cooper's Inn.

Billy reserved a nice room at Maggiano's for lunch.

On Sunday we had a party for all three of them at Uncle Alan's house, along with all of our relatives in town for the annual Leslie family reunion. I made the 3 cakes.

Congratulations to all of my smart relatives!

Mother's Day 2017

This year we attended church and then ate at the Piedmont Club for lunch with both mine and Vince's parents. The buffet was terrific. It had so many delicious things on it. I could've stayed and eaten again if we were gluttons. It was nice to be able to spend the day with our moms and eat fabulous food that I didn't have to cook.
Vince and the boys gave me some lovely tulips this year.

All went well until around 4:30 pm. We ran to Target and Alex fell asleep. Vince stayed in the car with the boys while I ran in only to be paged by Vince to come back to the car immediately. Alex had gotten sick all over his car seat and clothes. The next few hours were spent at home cleaning the car seat and Alex. It was a stark reminder of all the motherhood chores we do for our little ones. He was much better after he got sick. I think he had a migraine.
