Luke's Wedding

On Saturday, Vince & I attended my friend Luke's wedding. It was held at Furman University in the chapel. The chapel was beautiful. The only problem was the candle holder stands that blocked much of my camera's view. So my good pictures were from the reception.
Luke & Vanessa had a lovely ceremony & a fantastic reception. The food was good and the entertainment really was fabulous.

No, I didn't make the cake, but isn't it pretty? It was a different flavor on each layer.

Quick Swim

Last week on Wednesday we got home from Virginia. My sister, nephew Grayson, and niece Elise followed us home. We came home to no air conditioning and the house was 88 degrees. Our solution involved taking a nice dip at the pool.
Then we went to dinner at The Peddler, and then on to my in-laws' house to sleep in a nice cool room. I'm so thankful they live close enough to do that. We enjoyed our slumber party there, but thankfully, we were able to get our air conditioner fixed the next morning. And it didn't cost us too much.

Rain Storms

This past week I picked up two rocking chairs at Target on clearance. They're not your typical rocking chair, but they match our existing patio furniture perfectly! Our neighborhood swimming pool is open and the water is getting to be the perfect temperature. Now what's wrong with these two things? They're both outside (chairs and pool) and it has rained or threatened to every afternoon when I get home from work.

It may be okay to swim if it was just a light rain, but we always have loads of lightening strikes and hail every time. I did manage to snag a picture of us enjoying our new chairs after getting new tiki torches to keep the bugs away.

Josh Groban in Concert

Mom and dad bought tickets a couple of months ago on the fourth row of the Josh Groban concert in Richmond, VA. Dad graciously gave me his ticket while he & Vince went to the local baseball game. Mom & I enjoyed the VIP treats before the concert and being able to see Josh Groban so close. It was a wonderful concert. He has such an amazing voice.
