Evan went to his 15 month check up when he was 16 months old. He is doing so great. He is still small on the weight scale - still under 17 pounds, but he has grown about 3 inches. So he still gets to ride facing backwards in the car for now. He is on the 5% curve for weight and the 50 - 75% curve for height.
He eats all the time, but is burning off all of his calories. Evan is a boy on the move all the time now. He crawls, stands, cruises, and dances all day long. He is down to about one nap a day and loves eating all kinds of foods. We are working on the sippy cup, but still takes a bottle a lot of the time. He keeps us all on our toes (and knees)!

Ellijay GA
A few weekends ago, we went to Ellijay, GA to enjoy the mountain air and to just get away. It was nice to go to the apple barn and get some fried pies and peaches. They always have great food. Evan also got to visit with some cousins. He was the center of attention.
He also got a new t-shirt from his cousins. He liked it.

Florida Trip
Vince and I had a great trip to Florida this year. We took off over a week in the middle of June to go all over Florida. We had a very busy, but fun time, and put lots of miles on the car. Evan was a such a good little trooper. He enjoys the car rides and sleeps a lot. Here are the highlights of our trip. One of our stops was at Universal Studios - we went there two different days. The first day we went with my cousin DeLeigh and her two kids, Andy and Jaeleine. The next time we went alone. Evan enjoyed the characters and he especially loved the Barney show. We should have just stayed there and let him watch it over and over for two days.
We also went to St. Pete to see the Dali Museum and to Clearwater to see the aquarium and beach.
The last weekend we were in Florida, we stayed at my great Aunt Wilma's new house in St. Augustine, Florida. Her husband has built a beautiful new beach house that we enjoyed for several days.
We had several other cousins come over to visit us while we were there.

Baby Williams 2 Pictures
We have already had 2 ultrasounds of baby Williams number 2. At 7 weeks, we were able to see the heartbeat. I compared this picture with Evan at his 7 week ultrasound. They look very similar - like little cashews.
We tried to see if it was a boy or girl, but it was not very clear. Both the tech and I kept staring at the screen and we just could not figure it out, so we will have to wait a bit longer to know if it's a boy or a girl.
Yesterday, I had my 12 week ultrasound at the high risk doctor at Spartanburg Regional. I'm considered high risk due to my age. The ultrasound showed a very healthy looking baby that was very active. The nuchal measurement on the neck was very thin, which is perfect.
The above picture shows the baby putting their hand near their mouth at 12 weeks.
The above picture shows the baby's profile at 12 weeks.

Baby Williams Number 2
We announced this month that we are expecting baby number 2! Evan will be a big brother by January 10, 2014. We had our first ultrasound at 7 weeks and saw a little cashew baby with a heart beat. At 12 weeks, the heart rate is now 162. I can't wait to find out if we will be having a boy or girl. I'm hoping to find out around 16 weeks. If it's a boy, we have plenty of clothes for him. If it's a girl, we will get to buy lots of little pink things. What a little blessing this will be!

Memorial Day Weekend
Each year, we visit with my dad's side of the family for Memorial Day weekend. We went to Cosby, TN, to my Uncle Alan & Aunt Linda's house. We arrived late Friday evening after we got off work. On Saturday, I relaxed around the house and visited with all my relatives. We ate a great breakfast casserole, some great smoked pork that stayed in the smoker over 8 hours, and tons more food. Some of the folks went on a nature walk at the state park, but we just chilled at the house the whole weekend. It was nice to just relax and visit with no plans and no worries.
On Sunday, we did much of the same thing, and added lasagna to the meal plan. On Monday morning, we all met for breakfast at the local diner, Janice's. Vince, Evan & I stopped at the Biltmore for lunch on the way home. Evan sat in his first high chair away from home because it was his size and actually had the buckle on it.
He enjoyed looking at the animals in the little petting zoo they have and we enjoyed the food. We had a great trip!

Millbrook, Alabama
This past weekend, Vince, Evan, & I traveled to see my cousin Rachel and her family in Millbrook, AL. We left Friday evening after work. We drove straight to Millbrook (near Montgomery) with no traffic issues. We got there late Friday night, around 11:30pm. Evan had fallen asleep in the car around 8:30pm. He's such a good little traveler.
On Saturday, we got up and got to eat a great breakfast that Pat made and then got ready for the day. We started off by going to Bass Pro Shop to check out all the cool stuff there and play on the boats.
We ate lunch at the restaurant inside the store. It was really good seafood. Evan liked the aquarium.

We then went to the riverfront park. There is a water fountain area for kids. Evan did not like this at all. He cried each time we put him by the water. He loves his bath, so it surprised me that he didn't like the water. We let Cody & Ravyn play in the water while Evan played with his toys under the shade tent. They also had music playing and a casino boat down near the dock.
For dinner, we all ate at a nice seafood restaurant. It reminded me of a Cracker Barrel, but with old things that went on ships. We drove home on Sunday around lunch time and saw President Obama's motorcade drive by us on the other side of I-85 in downtown Atlanta. He was there speaking at a college. After that, the other side of the interstate was backed up at a dead stop for miles and miles. I'm so glad we weren't on that side of the road.
Vince and I decided to stop at the Chateau Elan in GA on the way home. We had never been, but had heard about it. It's a very nice hotel, spa, winery, golf course, and more.
We had a great visit with the Rachel, Pat, Ravyn, & Cody. The one funny thing we noticed is that every single time Pat spoke, Evan put his hands over his ears. We're not sure if he was getting an ear ache or if Pat's voice just bothered him. It was really funny, but yes, I did schedule an appointment with his ear doctor to get them checked tomorrow.
