Father's Day 2016

Vince, Evan, Alex, and I attended church in the morning for Father's Day and then met Jerry, Barbara, Jenay & Ted at the Marriott for a huge lunch buffet. They had everything at the buffet you could ever imagine. It was a great meal.

That evening I baked a lemon citrus meringue pie from scratch.  It turned out great! It is one of Vince's favorite desserts.

My dad even got home from Mississippi in time to enjoy a slice.

Sesame Street Live

I scrolled through the online news the other day and saw that Sesame Street Live would be performing in Greenville.  I was so glad I saw it beforehand, as usually I find out after the fact. The boys loved every minute of it.  Elise got to join us as well.  Cookie Monster zoned in on Evan and spent an entire song just dancing with Evan and patting his head.  I let Alex get in on the action as well.  I think Cookie Monster really liked Evan. The light up toy was $17 and the balloons were $10 (we did not get a balloon).  Note to self: bring cheap light up toy next time from home.

Greenville Drive Baseball Game

Vince's work group goes to the Greenville Drive game every year.  We decided to take the boys for the first time. Elise was in town and went with us, too. The boys did pretty good.  They liked watching the ball game for about two seconds.  They enjoyed trying to find the Chick Fil A Cow or Reedy Frog in the stadium.  They also enjoyed the playground. We never did get a picture with Reedy Frog as he stayed out of sight or on the wrong side the whole time.  Alex loved it when a train came beside the stadium slowly and blew its horn.

Camp Cockamamie 2016

Each year  for Memorial Day weekend we visit my dad's brother at his house in Cosby, TN. It's located in the Smokey Mountains just outside of Gatlinburg, TN.  All of my dad's siblings come & tons of cousins. We usually do a BBQ in the smoker one day and eat lots of good food all weekend long.  The pictures are all out of order, but we had a great visit!
