Disney World - Summer 2014
I had an 11 year old 2 day park hopper that I had kept in my wallet all these years. We bought Vince one and enjoyed a day at Disney World (before the storms rolled in and ran us off). Disney is not as stroller friendly or shade friendly as Universal. Strollers are not allowed in any restaurants, nor is just sitting at a table to cool off, unless you buy food. The biggest disappointment was the removal of Mickey and Minnie's houses in the back toon area. It is now some random circus tent theme that has nothing to do with Mickey Mouse. Highly disappointed for Evan. The only place to meet and greet Mickey was at the front of the park in a 30 - 50 minute wait building with no entertainment at all - just a long line. They seriously need to get a TV and show some cartoons while people wait. On the positive side, Evan and Alex both loved all the rides we took them on, taking in all the sights, sounds, and music. We did It's a Small World, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Marketplace Carousel, and Mickey's PhilharMagic (by far Evan's favorite - he clapped and smiled the entire time). We did character pictures with Goofy, Donald, and Mickey. Donald was his favorite. He was skittish around Mickey and wanted to hide behind the fake curtain. I still want to take the boys back to do more, but time just seemed to creep up on us, along with bottle feedings, diaper changes, and rain storms.
