Helmet Results

Evan wore his helmet since October, so he had it on for about 4 months.  This was to correct the plagiocephaly (flatness of the back of his head).
This is the scanner they used to get his head shape:

We are so glad they have medical devices to improve so much these days.

Evan Turns 1 Year Old

Evan turned one year old today!  I can't believe my baby is already one. He's such a joy to be around and makes us laugh every day. We are having his big party this coming Saturday, but I did get a few pictures of him on his big day.  He got a bib from DeLeigh and family.  He got a birthday shirt from Granny & Papa Jerry as well as a toy turtle and some new pants.

Evan is now 15 pounds 15 ounces (without his helmet or other clothes on).  He wears 12 month size clothes and size 2 diaper and size 2 shoe. He is getting more mobile by the day so we will be chasing him before we know it.

Another Birthday Party

Evan was invited to our twin friends, Miles & Madeline's 1st birthday party.  Their mom, Dawn, and I were due one day apart with our babies.  She had hers 2 weeks early and Evan came 10 days early, so their birthdays are just a few days apart.  Evan and I drove to Easley to attend and meet the babies.  It's been a fast & busy year, so we had not met them yet.  I think they all got along great!

The twin and their big brother enjoyed the singing and cake (no, I didn't make the cakes).
And now for some huge milestones that Evan has made just this past week or so.  He now gets up on all fours easily & rocks often.  For the first time ever, he pushed back up into a sitting position this week.  I've tried to get him to do it again so I can get a picture, but he hasn't done it again...yet.
He also just started waving bye bye as soon as we wave bye bye or if we just say the word.  He waved bye bye to everyone at the party tonight.  That's his first action that he has done by mimic and by word recognition.  I got a great video of him doing this and then accidentally deleted it. His hand faces him when he waves.  He does like to arch his whole body backwards to where it resembles some kind of ballet swan move. He giggles each time he does this.

He can sit up with no support for at least 10 minutes.  He still likes to roll backwards sometimes, so I can't trust him to sit alone.  He's doing so great with all of his milestones.

He is definitely getting ready for his big day coming up on Monday!

Evan's Busy Weekend - First Snow!

I had tons of cake orders this week so Evan spent the night Thursday and Friday night at Granny & Papa Jerry's house.  I stopped by there Friday after to work to check on him.  He has developed cradle cap this week so we are leaving the helmet off for a few days to treat his head.  With all his hair, it's hard to see it, but hopefully, it's now on the mend.
Evan helped Barbara and Jerry with their laundry.
Evan was happy eating his dinner.
Papa Jerry and Granny with Evan.
Evan had all eyes for his daddy when he came home Saturday.
And look what we came home to!  Snow!!
I had found a snow suit for Evan when he was just a few weeks old. I found it at a consignment sale last year. It was size 6 to 9 months, so I wasn't sure if it would still fit him or not.  It fit him perfect! And he looked so cute in it.

Evan loved the snow!  I think we had about 4 inches of snow. He giggled the whole time he was outside.
I'm so glad it finally snowed so Evan could experience it.  He really loved it.

Evan's 1st Valentine's Day

Vince, Evan & I opened our Valentine's Day gifts last night.  We gave Evan a card and a little mini Mickey Beanie Baby.  He loved the card more than Mickey. We then posed him this morning with his Valentine shirt on.

Evan is our little heart breaker.  He always has lots of personality on his face.  Watch out girls!

Vince gave me tulips, a new bathroom sink faucet, and some home automation things for our house. I gave him a laser. We are very romantic. To top it all off, Evan spent that night at his grandparent's house while Vince & I had dinner at the Waffle House. We were all alone there, having the restaurant to ourselves. The service, food, and parking was great!
