Evan Eats Cereal

At the last doctor's appointment, Dr. Parra said Evan could start eating solids since he's doing so great with head control and swallowing.  So last Saturday, we tried him out on rice cereal.  We mixed just 1/2 a tablespoon to see if he would spit it out or choke.  He did great!  He ate the entire amount in no time.  He really liked it.  It was as if he had been waiting on a spoon his whole life.  He knew just what to do with it.  He did have a little bit of tongue thrusting, but he swallowed a lot.  So the next feeding we bumped it up to 1 tablespoon and on Sunday, we bumped it up to 2 tablespoons.  He's done great with it all week. 

Today we started on oatmeal. he loved it as well and ate it right up.
