Florida July 2012

Evan went on his first long road trip the week of July 4th.  He is such a good little traveler!  The car seat puts him to sleep so easily.  I was afraid he would sleep too much and mess up his night time sleeping, but he didn't.  Yay!  We left our house by 9am on Saturday and Evan slept for the first 3 hours.  We decided to only stop when he needed us to, so each time we stopped, we fed him, changed him, filled up with gas, and went to the bathroom.  Each stop was about 30 minutes so it didn't take us too long off the schedule to get there.  We arrived by 7:30pm.  Evan went to sleep at 10pm that night and didn't get up until almost 7am.  We had a great time in Florida. In fact, the whole week went by in a blur.  I could've stayed 3 more weeks.

We went to Universal two days while we were there.  My mom watched Evan at the house while we went in the 95 degree heat.  We were able to ride all the rides we wanted to and rode the Harry Potter ride two times.  It was the best ride ever.  They have really got some engineering feats in that park.

We swam in the pool at the house several days and took Evan swimming.  The water was nice & warm and he seemed to like it the same way he likes his baths.  He just calmly sits in it.

 Grandmama rocked him to sleep most every night. He loved it.

 Zonko's had lots of toys and candy snacks, which was also connected to the candy store. They had chocolate frogs, Bertie Bott's every flavor beans, candied apples, and more.

We enjoyed relaxing and going to the theme park. We also went to the local beach a couple of times.  The weather was perfect all week.
