Protect your tings! After getting a health lesson, we arrived at Fort Fincastle. It was built by the British to hold off the French.
You can see our cruise ship behind us from on top of the fort.
Elise got a nice birthday bag while we were there. One of the ladies & gentlemen sang a lovely happy birthday song to her & gave her a blessing & a free photo album.
The Queen's stairs were really long, but ended in a beautiful garden area.
Our tour then continued at Fort Charlotte. This was a huge fort where over 200 soldiers lived. Over 100 of them died from Yellow Fever. They lived underground in the stone barracks.
Our tour ended at the Pirate Museum with a guided tour from a great pirate with lots of personality (we think he was from New Jersey).
We did a little bit more shopping after our tour & Elise got a nice Rolex watch from Vince, me, Billy, & Eddie for her birthday gift. After we ate lunch on the ship, Elise & Vince argued over the direction of the ship.
We had a great dinner. Grayson liked the folded napkins.
When we arrived in our room, we had a monkey in the room, and I wasn't talking about Vince. :)
That evening Vince & I strolled around the ship & took a picture on this SeaDoo that was near the pool.
I forgot to mention that the first night we were on board, Nathan went to the mixer to meet some other teens. We were afraid that he would be bored and not have a good time. However, as we were sitting in the lobby area waiting on a free drawing to see if we won something, Nathan strolled by us with 3 young ladies, all smiles. I think he had a great time on the cruise. He spent most of his time in the teen room hanging out with others his age. Elise & Grayson also loved their kids' area and did not want to leave at bedtime. All the kids had a great time on this cruise.
